Jane L’Amoreaux, Marketing Manager for TransmetriQ – a Railinc Brand, has been recognized as a Rising Star in the 2025 Women in Supply Chain Awards by Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. This award honors outstanding female leaders who drive innovation within their organizations that make lasting impacts on the global supply chain and transportation logistics.

L’Amoreaux has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of the TransmetriQ brand, demystifying highly technical industry concepts into digestible information for learners across the rail ecosystem. She oversees product, brand, and digital marketing, but notes that she fell into an education role that supports each of those functions.

TransmetriQ translates complex rail data into actionable insights for customers and prospects, but as a Railinc brand, TransmetriQ is uniquely positioned to help shippers understand and act on rail data. “Everyone understands the value of rail visibility,” says L’Amoreaux. “The challenge is that even veteran shippers often struggle with understanding the data that makes up rail visibility feeds. That understanding is crucial for leveraging visibility to avoid fees or disruptions.”

Learning with L'Amoreaux

To help solve this challenge, L’Amoreaux worked with TransmetriQ’s internal experts to develop two programs:

Customer Education

L’Amoreaux supports customer education through live webinars and training materials, including the launch of Tips from TransmetriQ, a series of educational webinars, infographics, and resources for shippers and car owners. Originally designed to share expert tips, the initiative evolved into a platform for engaging customers, enhancing their use of TransmetriQ tools, and gathering valuable feedback.

These trainings keep customers informed about industry updates, deepen their understanding of rail data, and promote fluency on topics like demurrage, detention, or intermodal visibility. These sessions help businesses respond proactively and identify opportunities for improvement while keeping eyes on their efficient fleet operations.

Internal Training

In addition to customer-facing efforts, she organizes internal training sessions to ensure teams stay current on industry trends and TransmetriQ’s evolving products and services.

“One of the reasons shippers choose to work with us is our deep knowledge of not only our own products, but also industry operations and rail reporting. We take that trust seriously and organize weekly trainings to ensure everyone is up-to-speed,” says L’Amoreaux. “We have so many experts in-house. It’s usually just a matter of determining which topics are most important and working with the subject matter expert to formulate the information into a training."

A Rising Star in Rail

With just five and a half years in the rail industry, L’Amoreaux has made a profound impact. In 2024, she received the Railinc President’s Award, an honor based on peer nominations. Her colleagues were moved to celebrate her as an altruistic collaborator who leads with purpose and diligently brings her ideas to life.

“Her expertise […] has helped us revolutionize how we track sales activities, customer outreach, and marketing outcomes. She has developed training materials, shared tips and tricks, and made herself available to assist the sales team and others whenever needed.” says Allen West, President and CEO of Railinc.

L’Amoreaux credits her success to her coworkers and mentors at Railinc. “I knew nothing about the rail industry six years ago,” says L’Amoreaux. “My colleagues, particularly Andy Adams, Gregg Phillips, Danny Dever, and others, spent countless hours getting me up to speed. Our internal and external education programs allow me to pay it forward.”

Recently, L’Amoreaux contributed to the launches for Ocean Tracing and Managed Services, two flagship releases on TransmetriQ’s 2025 roadmap. This Rising Star accolade reflects her bold vision, inspiring leadership, and commitment to excellence — qualities that continue to shape the future of rail innovation. Congratulations, Jane!
